Penney: looks like sunburn to me
sarajordan2993: no need to thank me , just here to give helpful , friendly advice 😊
tinkerguia: thank you sarah. will do that asap.
sarajordan2993: | tingerguia | for future reference , dont put your succulents out in the sun thinking they can handle it right away . Put them out for a few hours each day , & slowly add hours each time {i.e. [Week 1] - 2 hours sunlight [Week 2] - 3-4 hours sunlight [Week 3] - 5-6 hours sunlight} ALSO , do NOT water your succulents & then put them directly in sunlight — THIS WILL CAUSE THE LEAVES TO BURN !! Instead , water the soil around the base of the plants rather than watering & getting the leaves wet ! | olivia | great advice ! soil should be dry to the touch at least 1 inch deep from the top . One more thing , I promise !! Watering too much or not enough , the leaves seem to have the same ‘symptoms’ - wrinkly , withering leaves . So sometimes it is very hard to decipher which is the problem .
tinkerguia: will dp that olivia. i guess i will need to repot them. i put them on the ground thinking it will make a good tapestry. it was doing really great last month. thank you so much :)

meriunkat: @Stacey Kate Posion your welcome :)
Stacey Kate Posion: Thanks for the answers
meriunkat: That cactus might be a Mammillaria
meriunkat: The other name for jelly beans is Sedum Rubrotinctum
catsFromMars: also with jelly beans you can tell how much stress they have by how red they are. and you might want to flip the pots upside and let each plant fall into your hand to see the roots in the soil. my jelly bean's roots were all smooshed so I repotted it.

Help identifying these tiny cacti and succulents? The man that sold them called the flat tall one a Penny Jade but I can't find any reference to that name online. Also I suspect the flat green one with the red trim is a Paddle Plant but its so young I can't tell. I definitely need help identifying the Cacti and the other succulent. Thank you!

Jdunn13: I've read that most of the haworthia species do well in shade. I just wish they were easier to finds
Aurora: I don't have one but I do believe they grow pretty slow
Aurora: Oh geez I didn't even see those I'm sorry!
Jdunn13: @Aurora yea I have that. That's the small plants. Do they grow pretty slow?
Aurora: a hawthornia or "zebra plant" likes shade

Jdunn13: @Aesthesiiick they may not be. I don't have a southern facing window at my apartment but hopefully after I move I will
sarajordan2993: @Jdunn13 youre welcome 😊
Aesthesiiick: they just seem a bit stretched out, are they getting enough sunlight?
Jdunn13: @sarajordan2993 thanks!
sarajordan2993: all i can say is ... beautiful !

My lovely girlfriend's set of succulents is growing nicely! They seem to be very happy, and the "Dragon's Egg", which was a suprise find in one of the pots with a succulent we bought, has produced very long roots!

I found these stunning wild succulents on a hiking trip today 😸 naturally I brought some back, I only nabbed a few of the small rosettes, no flowers, any ideas on what they are? On the Brice Creek trail in Cottage Grove, OR if anyone wanted to know as well
